I have a lot of experience with human resource management over the years, but human resources degrees seem to be a new development. At first, I thought it was kind of strange. I mean the point is that anyone with a natural ability to manage people and a decent level of education can handle human resources jobs. A human resource job does not require any special training. A business degree can be helpful, but what really is necessary is the ability to manage people, a good sense of organization, and the ability to meet deadlines. In some ways you are drawing from your own transferable skills with people and business.
I could see how getting a human resources degree could help you, but lots of things could help you with these goals also. You can learn how to manage people simply from dealing with them, or from on-the-job training.
